Bio
Dennis Roggasch was born at Duff, Nebraska, on July 4, 1934, the son of Arthur Roggasch and Mary Dunne. He attended school at Duff through the eighth grade and then went to high school in Bassett. He graduated in 1952 and went into the ranching business with his father. In 1956 he joined the U.S. Army. He served a tour of duty in Korea and was honorably discharged in 1958. On June 3, 1959 he was married to Eleanor Davis in Lincoln. They made their home on the ranch near Rose, Nebraska. In 1978 they moved to Bassett; Dennis continued to work at the ranch. He died at his ranch on October 19, 2005. Funeral services were held at the United Methodist Church in Bassett. He was survived by his wife and two sons, his sister Regina (Brockley), and his brother Donald. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Marilynn (Crisp) and his brother Kenneth.
