Bio
Robert Earl Jackson served in the US Navy and US Army. He married Sue Frances Hawks on April 2, 1955 in Tarrant Co., Texas. They had 2 children; Steven Earl Jackson and Darla Gay Jackson. Steven married Gina Gail Davis and they had 3 children. Darla married Larry Ray Hassell and they had 2 children. There are numerous great grandchildren. Robert "Bob" worked for General Motors in Arlington, Texas until he retired at age 55. He remarried and his final wife was Martha Sue Averett. They married in 1980 until their death. They died within 2 weeks of each other. Robert enjoyed gardening and painting. Robert Jackson is the son of Mary Jane Smith Layton Jackson and Quincey Blayloch Jackson. He has 2 sisters; Mary Joyce Jackson Birdwell and Ruby Laverne Jackson Wilks Nichols. Robert has half siblings: Charles Emerson Smith 1918-1934, Raymond Edwin Layton 1925-1930, Walter Clarence Layton 1925-1925, Pearlie Mae Layton Berry 1928-2014, and Curtis Leroy Layton.
