Mrs. Samanthy Parlee King Chastain Scott Samanthy Parlee King was a daughter of John Venson King (1852-1921?) and Martha Jane Barker (1847-?). John Venson King and Martha Barker married on July 3, 1870 in Gibson County, Tennessee and at least eight children were born in this union. John Venson King married a second time on April 20, 1893 in Ellis County, Texas and two children were born in this union. Parlee married a Mr. Chastain and then she married a Mr. Scott. Parlee was listed as a widow on her Texas Death Certificate.
