DAILY INTER LAKE June 24, 1986 Nellie E. Day, 86, died Tuesday evening in Immanuel Lutheran Home where she had resided since 1967. She was born June 15, 1900 at the family home on East Shore of Flathead Lake, a daughter of A.J. and Laura Wells. Her father ran the passenger boat from Somers to Polson. She received her education locally. When she was 18, she married Charley Denny, and they moved to Kalispell. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1952. In 1958, she married Elmer W. Day, who preceded her death in 1961. Mrs. Day worked as a nurse's aide during the World War II years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include a son, William E. "Bill" Denny of Kalispell; a daughter, Thelma Larson of Eugene, Oregon; six grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and other relatives. Graveside services will be 11 am Friday in Conrad Memorial Cemetery. Contributor: RobertaD (47958125)
