SYBIL SLEMMER RITES OBSERVED Funeral services for Mrs. Sybil Slemmer were conducted in the Johnson Chapel Thursday afternoon by the Rev. M. E. Van de Mark, pastor of the Epworth Methodist church. During the services, two selected solos were sung by Clide I. Carr, accompanied at the organ by Miss Louise Hanger. The pallbearers were all members of the Odd Fellows lodge and included Thomas S. Perry, Al Evenson, W. E. Willey, C. C. Jones, Frank Hazelton and G. E. Thomas. Burial was in Conrad Memorial cemetery. Sybil Wells was born in Manannah, Minn., Feb. 8, 1886. When she was six years old, her parents came to Columbia Falls where they lived for two years when they homesteaded on the east shore of Flathead lake. They lived there until 1902. On July 13, 1903, she married Elmer H. Slemmer. With the exception of a few years spent in Portland they lived near the Northwestern dam on the banks of the Stillwater river. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors; the Lady Owls; Crescent Rebekah lodge; Womens Relief Corps and the daughters of the American Revolution. She leaves her husband Elmer H.; one sister, Mrs. Charles E. Denny of Kalispell; one brother, Deward Wells of Seattle, Wash.; two nephews and two nieces. Mrs. Slemmer died at her home Monday, March 31, at the age of 66 years.
