Bio

Daughter of Albert and Johanna (Rau) Raffl, Elis was born at Red Bud, Illinois. She married Frank Boriske in 1926. A member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Murphysboro and Holy Family Catholic Church in Rockford, she died at the P.A. Peterson Home at Rockford. She was survived by a daughter, Joan Mitchell of Rockford; two sisters, Alberta (Homer F.) Pfeiffer of Lyme, CT, and Rosalia McConnell of Grand Rapids, MI; as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her husband and two brothers, Arthur and Claude, preceded her in death. Elie’s obituary appeared on page 7 of the 30 Jun 1987 issue of Carbondale's Southern Illinoisan newspaper.
