Son of Edward and Amelia Boriskie, Frank was born 10 Nov 1898 at Bryan, Texas, and adopted a modified spelling of his family surname. A graduate of Texas A & M University, he was a civil engineer and worked for the Illinois Highway Department for over four decades before retiring in 1963. An Army veteran of World War I, he was a member of the Murphysboro American Legion Post. Formerly a resident of Murphysboro, he died at the P. A. Anderson Home at Rockford, Illinois. Frank was survived by his wife, the former Elizabeth “Elis” Raffl; daughter, John Mitchell; and three brothers, Ben Boriskie of Bryan, TX, Paul Boriskie of Louisiana, and Joseph Boriskie of Port Arthur, TX; two sisters, Chris Paradowski of Bryan, TX, and Em Donnelly of Houston, TX. His obituary appeared on page 20 of the 09 Dec 1980 issue of Carbondale’s “Southern Illinoisan” newspaper.
