Francis Price will officiate at funeral services, 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Isidore Catholic Church, and burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. The body lies in state at McKown Funeral Home, where rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. today. He was born Dec. 15, 1894 in Polk County, the son of Frank and Anna Jaax Janicek, and resided on a farm north of Shelby. He retired from farming in 1943, but continued to work in the Shelby and Leigh area. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Anna Bruckner, Columbus; nephews and nieces, Leland Bruckner of Shelby, Harold Bruckner of Beemer, and Alfred Zipper of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Walter (Lorene) Mick of Bellwood, Mrs. Kenneth (Irene) Oakeson of Columbus, Mrs. Verleen Schilz of Palos Verdes, Calif., and Mrs. Lillian Foy of Dallas, Tex.; 22 grandnieces and nephews; 11 great grand-nieces and nephews. Mr. Janicek was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John, Dec. 30, 1973, and another in infancy; sisters, Gusta Alt and Lucy Zipper; nephews Roy and Lester Zipper.
