Bio

Mary Fay Stephens Steele Judge, age 89 of Winchester, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017. She was born in Franklin County on June 19, 1927 to the late Jerry and Ova Stephens. She was employed at the Franklin County Courthouse for many years before retiring to be a housewife and was a member of Keith Springs Church of Jesus. She enjoyed flowers, puzzles, quilting bees, grandchildren, family and cooking. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Clennon A. Steele and John H. Judge; two sons, Ben A. Steele and Herschel G. Judge; and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include her sons, Adrian (Sandy) Steele of Hillsboro, Felix Wayne (Gina) Steele of Decherd, Kenneth (Lena) Steele and Sherman (Ann) Steele, both of Keith Springs, Harold (Vanessa) Steele and Marlin Steele, both of Winchester; daughter, Phyllis Riddle of Winchester; stepdaughter, Margaret Bland of Winchester; sister, Martha May Miller of Keith Springs; 25 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Thursday at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1 pm Friday, April 14, 2017 at Moore-Cortner Chapel with Bro. Chuck Wilkerson and Bro. Peach Partin officiating. Interment will follow at Keith Springs Cemetery. Moore-Cortner Funeral Home, 300 1st Ave NW, Winchester, TN (931) 967-2222.
