Korus, 560 13th Avenue, died unexpectedly Saturday shortly after being involved in traffic accident at 12th Avenue and Sixth Street. He was 72. The Rev. Laurin Buzynski will conduct funeral rites, 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church with burial in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. Visitation begins at 1 p.m. Tuesday at McKown Funeral Home where rosary service is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Korus was born Dec. 15, 1903 to Joseph and Victoria (Shemek) Korus at Tarnov, where he farmed until moving to Columbus 36 years ago. Here he was employed by Al-Fa Meal and was a member of St. Anthony Church. He is survived by one brother, Frank of Chicago, nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; sisters, Mary Mostek, Monika Brezinski, Sr. M. Dativa, Cecilia Obal, Dorothy Wielgus; brother, Alois, Stan and Edmund.
