In Memory of Agnes Francis Kloke April 16, 1928 ~ February 3, 2017 Agnes Francis Kloke was born on April 16, 1928, in Pierce, Nebraska to John J. and Emma A. (Frank) Vyhlidal. She passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017, in Seward, Nebraska, at the age of 88 years, 9 months and 18 days. Agnes grew up in the Pierce area where she attended school. She moved to Norfolk where she worked at Omaha Cold Storage later known as Henningsen Foods. It was there that she met Robert Kloke. On April 24, 1950, Agnes and Robert were united in marriage at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pierce. The couple made their home in the Norfolk area where she continued to work at Henningsens. She also worked at the laundry mat for 3 to 4 years. While there she had the pleasure of washing the uniforms for the Harlem Globe Trotters and she received free tickets for the whole family to attend their game. Later the couple moved to David City, Nebraska, in 1966. Agnes worked at McVey Clothing for 20 years, retiring in 1986. Her Catholic faith was very important to her and she made sure that all of her children attended and graduated from Aquinas. In their retirement Agnes and Robert enjoyed fishing and camping. Her highlight was their trip to Canada on a fishing trip. Robert and Agnes were a perfect couple and they loved doing everything together. Agnes moved to Seward in 2015 to be closer to her children. She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Robert in 2005; son, Roger in 2014; brothers and sisters, Melvin, Raymond, Alvin Vyhlidal and Hilda Pospisil. Agnes is survived by: her children, Ken and Ruth Kloke, Pat and Randy Sanley, Jan and Tim Grossnicklaus; daughter-in-law, Margaret Kloke; eight grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Vincent De Paul Church in Seward, on Monday, February 6, 2017. Interment in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Norfolk, Nebraska.
