Hilda Pospisil (64277929) Suggested edit: HILDA D. POSPISIL LAID TO REST Funeral services for Hilda D. Pospisil, 65, of Pierce were held Wednesday, May 30, 2001, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierce. Mrs. Pospisil died Friday, May 25, 2001, at her home, surrounded by Family, from Cancer. Hilda was diagnosed with cancer in January of this year. Father Jerry Connealy officiated at the 10:30 a.m. service. Organist was Celine Fehringer accompanying soloist Robin Eberhardt singing "In the Garden, "God Will Take Care of You, "on This Day Oh Beautiful Mother, " and "Here I Am Lord." Casketbearers were Bobby Cummings, Ken Kloke, Roger Kloke, Tim Pint, Ed Sobansky, and Joe Vyhlidal. Honorary bearers were her grandchildren Visitation was from 3-6 p m Tuesday, May 29 at Stonacek Memorial Chapel in Pierce. The Rosary was at 7.30 p.m. on Tuesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with interment at St Joseph's Catholic Cemetery. Hilda Delores Pospisil was born July 31, 1935 in Pierce to John J. and Emma (Frank) Vyhlidal. She was a 1954 graduate of Pierce High School and a 1979 graduate of Wayne State College receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree. She married Lewis E. Pospisil on October 19, 1956 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Pierce. Following their marriage they lived in Pierce. She taught school for 27 years in Pierce and Madison rural schools and St. Mary's Catholic School at Osmond. She had been a dispatcher and jailer for 21 years for the Pierce County Sheriff's Office. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Pierce, the Altar Society, American Legion Auxiliary, and Pierce Historical Society. She is survived by her husband, Lewis E. Pospisil of Pierce; Three children. Brothers, Alvin, Leonard, Donald (Charlotte) Vyhlidal. Sisters, Helen Butts of Sioux City, IA and Agnes (Robert) Kloke of Ulysses. She is also survived by several very special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Melvin and Raymond, Brother-in-law, Melvin Butts and one daughter, Rebecca Krienert.
