[Iowa, U.S., Marriage Records, 1880-1949-image] " Gladys N. Avery, 99, of Colona, passed away Friday, Dec. 16, 2016, at Illini Restorative Care Center in Silvis. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Schroder Mortuary in Colona. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Estates in Moline. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. Gladys was born May 12, 1917, in Wapallo County, Iowa, the daughter of Lawrence and Pansy Kielkopt Wilford. She married Charles Clifford Avery on April 22, 1939, in Ottumwa, Iowa. He passed away Feb. 26, 1991. Gladys retired from the Rock Island Lines in 1977, after 33 1/2 years of service. She was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church and volunteered at the senior citizens lunch program in Colona. "
