Donald V. Loveland passed away Sunday, May 03, 2015, in Cheyenne. from complications of Alzheimer’s. He was born January 20, 1924, in rural western Nebraska to Frank and Adella Loveland. On Oct. 9, 1943, he married Margie Hill in Torrington. Donald was a WWII veteran having served in the 253rd Quartermaster Pack Troop in the China-Burma-India Theater from 1943 until his honorable discharge in 1945. Donald retired from the Wyoming Highway Department as maintenance foreman in Pine Bluffs. Retirement years were spent traveling and spending time at their cabin in the Fox Park area south of Laramie. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Margie, of Cheyenne; sons, Norman of Indiana, Roger (Nadine) of Cheyenne, Leslie (Debra) of Casper, Donnie (Stephanie) of Colorado, and Brian (Cindy) of Burns; 16 grandchildren and 22-plus great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Loveland of Colorado; and a sister, Beverly Smith of Rawlins. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Linda Witt; one grandson and one great-grandson; five brothers, Harold, Jack, Delane, Ted and Theland; and three sisters, June, Crystal and Dorothy. © Pine Bluffs Post May 7, 2015
