Bradford Republican – 3-12-1941 Mrs. Archie Damon Mrs. Archie Damon, for many years a resident of this community, died last night at the Kewanee Public hospital, where she was taken about two weeks ago. However, Mrs. Damon had been ill in health for the past several months and during that time was confined to her home. Mrs. Damon was born in Lawrence County, Ohio, on Feb. 6, 1864, the daughter of Gideon and Levisa Murdock Billips. She was married here to Archie Damon of this place and to this union seven children were born, four of whom survive. They are James Damon and Mrs. Ralph Hapner of this place, and Joseph Damon and Mrs. Wm. Ridings of Kewanee. The husband and a daughter, Mrs. Roma Golder, preceded her in death and two daughters died in infancy. The funeral services will be held at the Marsh Chapel Thursday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, in charge of Rev. Venice Blacketer, pastor of the Church of the Nazarene, Kewanee, assisted by Rev. A. E. Cole, pastor of the Methodist church of this place. Burial will be in the Bradford cemetery.
