Bio

Cemetery section 3, row 35. Funeral Services for William Cross Hogan of Mobeetie were held Friday afternoon at the Wheeler Church of Christ. Ministers were Guy Caskey of Pampa, the Rev. Charles Uzzle of Mobeetie. Burial was in Mobeetie Cemetery under the direction of Kirk Funeral Home. Mr. Hogan died Wednesday, June 19 in a Pampa Hospital. He married Bonnie Houch [sic] on Feb. 9, 1922 in Greer County. The couple came to Mobeetie in 1923. Survivors include his wife, six sons, Jimmy of Sunray, Gaylon of Lubbock and Calvin, Edwin, Glen and Lawayne all of Pampa; two daughters, Mrs. Wilma Miller of Prattsville, Ark., and Mrs. Lavada Helton of Uatry, France; 2 sisters, Mrs. Elma McCormick of El Reno, Okla., and Mrs. Celeste Medley of Indiana and two brothers, W.R. of Lewisville, Tex., and S.L. of Bakersville, Calif.; 16 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Pallbearers were: Byron Simpson, Ray Johnson, Jud Rector, R. St. John, Lewis Underwood, S.B. Hooker. Honorary Pallbearers were Howard Caswell, Jess Patterson, Elmer Brock, Earl Meadows, Lem Gaines, Tom Helton and Buster Hayes.
