Bio
Lavada Jeanette Helton, age 82 of Marble Falls, passed away on Monday, December 18, 2017. She was born to the late William Cross Hogan and Bonnie Lee Houck on January 15, 1935 in Wheeler, TX. Lavada was a proud 1953 graduate of Mobeetie High School, excelling in academics and basketball. Lavada's passions were her family, friends, and quilting as a member of the Marble Falls Quilting Club. She married Bobby King Helton on July 3, 1953 Mobeetie, TX. Family and friends were Lavada's passion and delight, with a special deep adoration for her seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Lavada was a member of the First Baptist Church of Marble Falls and an active participant in the Hospitality and Creative Hearts Ministries. Lavada is survived by her husband, Bobby Helton; daughter, Sharla and husband, Rodney; sons, Steven and wife, Stacy and Mike and wife, Connie; seven grandchildren, Lauren, Jillian, Jennifer, Bailey, Megan, Jacob, and Jaclyn; and two great-grandchildren, Graham and Liam. She also leaves a sister, Wilma and brothers, Ed, Glen, LaWayne and Gaylon. Lavada was preceded in death by brothers, Calvin, James, and Don Hogan. Visitation is scheduled between 5:00 -7:00 pm, December 21, 2017 at Clements Wilcox Funeral Home, Marble Falls, TX. Memorial services will be held at First Baptist Church of Marble Falls on December 22, 2017 at 10:00 am. Burial will be on December 28, 2017, at 11:00 am at the Gageby Cemetery, Hemphill County, TX.
