Burial location suggestion thanks to contributor: Honor (49754645) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Grand Island (Nebraska) Independent Saturday, 3 February 1945 Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 o'clock in the Chapman & Higby funeral home, Aurora, for Mrs. Robert McIntosh, who died here Thursday at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Reuben McIntosh, 313 East Fifth street. Mrs. McIntosh, 73, has been ill for several months. Born in Iowa, Mrs. McIntosh came to Nebraska in 1878 and lived on a farm in Hamilton county for 63 years. Four years ago her husband, Robert McIntosh, who preceded her in death on August 26, 1943, retired and she had made her home since then in Aurora. Mrs. McIntosh was the former Maggie Decker and married Mr. McIntosh July 10, 1888. She is survived by eight sons and one daughter. They are Orville of Mills, Wyo., Clyde of Grand Island, Fay of Grand Island, Forrest of Torrington, Wyo., Clinton of Marquette, Joe of Long Beach, Cal., Reuben of Grand Island, James, stationed at Camp Swift, Tex., and Mrs. Verna Wagner, Grand Island. Mrs. McIntosh was preceded in death by three children. Burial will be in the Glendale cemetery, Aurora.
