Grand Island (Nebraska) Daily Independent Sunday September 16, 1990 Fay R. McIntosh, 94, of 922 W. 13th, died Friday, Sept. 14, in a Kearney hospital. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the chapel of Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home with the Rev. Dale Howard officiating. Burial will be in the Richland Cemetery at Marquette. Mr. McIntosh was born May 12, 1896, at Marquette, the son of Robert and Margaret Decker McIntosh. He received his education in the Marquette Public schools and grew up in the Marquette area. He married Minnie J. Stalnaker on March 11, 1925, at Aurora. The family moved to Grand Island in 1926 and since made their home here. He worked for the Nelson Lumber Co. and prior to his retirement was a private contractor in carpentry and house painting, retiring in 1971. Mrs. McIntosh died Oct. 26, 1975. He had lived in a local nursing home the past two months due to failing health. He was a member of the Methodist church and Eagles 378 of Grand Island. Survivors include a stepdaughter, Evelyn Marble of Cambridge; a stepson, Eugene Stalnaker of Grand Island; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren; a sister, Verna Youngs of Grand Island; and three brothers, Clinton of Marquette, Rubin of North Platte and James of Winfield, Kan. He was preceded in death by his wife, a sister and six brothers. [From a separate source, other brothers were Orville, Clyde, Guy, Forest.]
