Bio

Mary Ann married Kenneth Merwyn Tucker September 26, 1954 at her parents home in Grandview, Texas. Mary Ann and Merwyn had three children, A son Dale and twin girls, Sharon and Karen. After their divorce Mary Ann dated but never remarried. She lived first in Itasca and then Arlington. The last few years she had lived with her sister Katherine and helped take care of her until Katherine's death in 1999. Then she lived with her daughter Sharon until her short stay in a nursing home and her death. Cause of Death: Colon Cancer Died at Heritage Oaks nursing home in Arlington, Texas. She died on Ralph Eugene Gilberts 71st birthday . Gene is her brother just older than her. Melvin Gilbert was with her at her death. She passed at 22:00, Wednesday the 4th of December, 2002. Graveside services and burial were at Grandview Cemetery, Grandview, Johnson Co., Texas . Michael Hoover, the husband of a neice, officiated. Arrangements were by Coker Funeral Home,Inc., Sanger, Texas. Obit: Mary Ann Tucker 1933 - 2002 Mary Ann Tucker, 69, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002, in Arlington. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Saturday in Grandview Cemetery. Officiating: Michael Hoover. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Coker Funeral Home, Sanger. Mary Ann Tucker was born Nov. 26, 1933, in Trenton. Survivors: Daughters, Sharon Tucker and Karen Stafford, both of Arlington; son, Lloyd Dale Tucker of Sanger; brothers, H.H. Gilbert and Robert Gilbert, both of Bullhead, Ariz., and Melvin Gilbert, Carl Gilbert and Ralph Gilbert, all of Arlington; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
