Bio

Louise Marie (Rauschhuber) Bartosh, age 83, of West, passed away early Friday evening, August 12, 2016 at St. Catherine's Center in Waco. A rosary will be recited and Mass of Christian Burial celebrated 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Rev. Paul Hudson as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 9:00 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church. Louise was born January 4, 1933 in Wichita Falls, the daughter of A.F. and Louise (Willenborg) Rauschhuber. Their family of 9 children eventually moved to Tours during the great depression, where they purchased and ran a farm. She attended schools in West and was a 1951 graduate of West High School. She spoke fondly of the generosity of her parents and siblings who allowed her to pursue her high school diploma. On April 19, 1958, she was united in marriage to William J. Bartosh in Tours. William preceded her in death on March 15, 2011. Louise worked for several years in banking and was in the Alico building in 1953 when the tornado struck downtown Waco. She took time off from work to raise her family, but eventually became a bookkeeper for Dwyer Company. She loved her years spent with the Dwyer family until her retirement at the age of 79. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of the Assumption. Louise was also a member of the Catholic Daughter of America Court #829. Everyone who knew Louise knew of her quiet, kind and gentle spirit. She had a great love for her family and prayed often for the well-being of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Louise enjoyed sewing and during her time raising kids, she ran a sewing business from her home. She made all kinds of dresses, quilts, and often provided wedding and bridesmaid garments and alterations to families in West, Waco and other surrounding communities. Louise is also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Theresa Wilson; a sister, Edna Thun; and brothers, Eddie Rauschuber, Frank Rauschuber, and Raymond Rauschuber. Survivors include two sons, Thomas Bartosh and wife Carol of Duncanville and Dr. Michael Bartosh and wife Kim of West; a daughter, Mary Coleman and husband Bill of Lorena; 13 grandchildren, Dr. Thomas Bartosh, Jr. and wife Dr. Nicole Bartosh, Clifford Bartosh and wife Michelle, Craig Bartosh and wife Melissa, Tammy Rios and husband Aaron, Catherine Bartosh, Lynna Burks and husband Jason, Blake Bartosh and fiancé Courtney Reed, Blake Rittenbaugh and wife Haley, Michaela Bartosh, Madison Bartosh, Dr. Braden Coleman and fiancé Dr. Marsha Antoine, Harris Coleman, and Lauren Wilson; 11great-grandchildren, Jackson, Owen, Emma, Levi, Tatum, Tosh, Tenley, Walter, Ryker, Landry and Kaley; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
