Funeral services for Lillie A. Buchala, 97, of Sealy, will be held 11AM Monday, November 16, 2015, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 600 Fourth St. in Sealy, TX. Visitation will be at 2PM Sunday, November 15, 2015, from the Knesek Bros. Funeral Chapel, 768 Fourth St., in Sealy. Rosary at 3 PM. Mrs. Buchala died Wednesday, November, 11, 2015 in Sealy. Survivors include her children, Karen Schilhab and husband, Glenn, of Rosenberg, and Gary Buchala of Katy; grandchildren, Brian Schilhab and wife, Cheryl, Aaron Schilhab, Jeremy Buchala and wife, Kari, Kimberly Buchala, and Allen Keith Buchala. Lillie lived a very simple life, mainly staying busy in the garden and caring for her yard, watching the Astros, and attending church regularly. She lived independently until the age of 95, enduring problems with her vision and hearing. She sustained a fall and moved into an assisted living facility, Veranda House. She had another fall at 97 that resulted in a broken hip and a bruised hand after which time she couldn't regain her strength to fight and her body failed to function. She died peacefully on November 11, 2015. We express our gratitude to Veranda House staff and the A-Med Hospice staff for their extraordinary care in meeting all her needs and wants! We thank her watchful neighbor Marie Wright, the ladies who brought her to Church and to Father Eric and all the Church family for their prayers and kindness. May God bless!
