A. R. JONES, 73, DIES SUNDAY Funeral services for A. R. Jones, 72, long-time resident of Nolan, are to be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Slater Chapel with the Rev. Dean Elkins, pastor of the Divide Baptist Church, officiating. Mr. Jones died suddenly Sunday at 6:30 p.m. while reading his Bible. He had lived in Nolan County for 19 years. He is survived by his widow; four daughters, Mrs. Susie Russell of Vernon, Mrs. W. P. Hammond, Mrs. C. W. Barton and Mrs. Bernice Corley, all of Divide; three sons, J. L. Jones of Anson and R. B. and H. F. Jones, both of Nolan. Burial is to be in Slater's Chapel with Johnston Funeral Home in charge of interment.
