Bio

In loving memory of Mrs. Elizabeth Ray of Taylorville died yesterday at the home of her daughter Mrs. Tom Mitchell of Taylorville, W VA. She was born 2 Oct 1873 in TN, a daughter of Mr. & Mrs. John Thompson. She was married to R.C. Ray, who died in 1930, and was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include 4 children, Mrs. Tom Mitchell of Taylorville, WVA, Charles M. Ray of Corpus Christi, TX, Mrs. Frank Cockrell of Athens, AL and Mrs. Wesley Rhodes of Hugo, OK, one brother Frank of Collingwood, TN; 20 grandchildren, 30 greatgrandchildren and several great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, at the North Matewan Church of Christ, Jim Backus and Herman Estepr will be the ministers. Burial will be in the church cemetery with the Allen Funeral in charge. The body will be taken to the home of Mrs. Tom Mitchell today.
