Louise Evelyn Ruzowski-Philbrick, 84, of Grants Pass died Monday, May 11, 2015, at her home.No services are planned. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements. On May 11th, 2015, Louise Evelyn Philbrick died peacefully at home with members of her family present. Louise was born on January 12th, 1931 in Elyria, Nebraska to Louis John and Angie Rose(Golka)Ruzowski. She met Benjamin Harold Philbrick after his return from the Army in 1947. They were married on May 10th, 1949 in Sturgis, South Dakota. They moved to Grants Pass in 1958. In the 60s and 70s Louise was active in the Girl Scouts and the PTA. She enjoyed her yard full of flowers, gardening, canning, collecting coins and fishing with her husband on the lakes and ocean fishing in Brookings, Ore. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Louise is survived by her husband of 66 years, Harold; daughter and sonin-law, Nancy Ann and Charles Duane Costanzo of Grants Pass; son,Douglas Harold Philbrick, of Everett, Wash.; granddaughter, Megan Costanzo and her companion Rex Jones, of Grants Pass; grandson, Tony Costanzo, of Eugene, Ore.; sister, Edna Battiato, of Fremont, Neb.; brother and sister-in-law, Everett and Shirley Ruzowski, of Navarre, Flo.; brother, Leonard Ruzowski of Ord, Neb.; her extended family, including 14 nieces and nephews and 36 great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ernest; sisters, Irene Moravec, Bernice Coble and Marie Newfield. At her request, there will be no service and her ashes will be scattered at her and Harold's favorite place to fish, Lost Creek Lake, near Grants Pass.
