Bio
Bernice Viola Coble, 88, of Liberal, died Saturday, April 9, 2011, at Wheatridge Park Care Center in Liberal. She was born July 17, 1922, in Elyria, Neb., to Louie and Angie Golka Ruzowski. In 1951, she married William "Bill" Coble in Amarillo, Texas. Mrs. Coble had worked in a department store and had been a resident of Liberal since 2009. In addition to her husband, survivors include a son, James R. Hughes; three sisters, Irene Moravec of Seward, Neb., Edna Battiato of Fremont, Neb., and Louise Philbrick of Grants Pass, Ore.; two brothers, Evertt Ruzowski of Navarre, Fla., and Leonard Ruzowski of Ord, Neb.; a granddaughter; four great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ernest Ruzowski; a sister, Marie Neufeld; and a grandson. Funeral Mass was at St. Helen Catholic Church in Hugoton. Burial was at Hugoton Cemetery. Garden City Telegram 4/11/11
