Vavra, 66, custodian at Madison school for many years, died Thursday at an Omaha hospital after a long illness. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Edward Karlik and Mrs. Louis Boldt; son, Joseph J.; a brother, Frank; two sisters, Mrs. Kate Hynek of Omaha and Mrs. Anna Bierly of Hastings, and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be today at 3 in the Brewer Korisko South Side chapel with Rev. Edward Holub of Mosher Memorial Presbyterian church officiating. Burial will be in Bohemian National cemetery.
