Sarah Hessong, 57, Grocery Operator, Buried Wednesday Funeral services were held Wednesday morning from Slavik Chapel for Miss Sarah Annie Hessong, 57, resident of Jackson County for 55 years. Rev. Collis McKinney of the Presbyterian Church officiated, and interment was in the Edna Cemetery. Miss Hessong had been manager of the Hessong Grocery Store here for many years. She was born Sept. 29, 1904 in Weir City, Kansas. She passed away Nov. 20 at her home at 502 N. East, following an illness of eight months. She is survived by these brothers and sisters: Louis and Clyde Hessong of Edna, Laura Scruggs and Emma Hessong of Edna, Marshal, David and Albert Hessong, all of Houston, George Hessong of Tallulah, La., Mrs. Virginia Strelec of Louise, Alice Covington of San Antonio and Ruth Hattenback of Fulton.
