Services Held for W. T. Hessong, 78, Resident Since 1906 Funeral services were held Monday morning at the Assembly of God Church for William Thomas "Bill" Hessong, 78. Minister R. E. Brumbelow officiated and interment was in the Edna Cemetery. Pallbearers were Levi Quinn, Arthur Griffin, Tom Braddock, H. M. Dollery, Bennie Price and J. C. Holder. Mr. Hessong, well-known farmer, passed away May 9 at his home at 1016 N. Williams. He was born March 6, 1881 in Pennsylvania, and had lived in Jackson County since 1906. He is survived by his wife, Parilee, of Edna, and these sons and daughters: Sarah Hessong, Edna; Mrs. Laura Scruggs, Edna; Geo. Hessong of Rodessa, La.; Emma Hessong, Louis Hessong, and Clyde Hessong of Edna; Albert, Marshall and David Hessong of Houston; Virginia Strelic of Ganado; Ruth Hattenback of Fulton, and Alice Covington of Germany; and 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He also leaves a brother and two sisters, G. G. Hessong, Mrs. Annie Seiler and Mrs. Alice Wilson all of Edna. Edna Herald , May 14, 1959
