Bio

Clarence Suckstorf, 81, of Pierce, passed away Monday, October 17, 2005, at Norfolk. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 19, at Zion Lutheran Church in Pierce. A memorial fund has been established in his memory. Stonacek Memorial Chapel in Pierce is in charge of the arrangements. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, October 20, at Zion Lutheran Church in Pierce, with Rev. Gordon Bruce and Joshua Mork officiating. Burial will be in Lambrecht Cemetery, rural Pierce, Nebraska. Clarence Suckstorf was born October 21, 1923, on the family farm near Pierce, the son of Carl and Emma (Erickson) Suckstorf. He graduated from Pierce High School in 1941. He married Winell Audrey Buss on February 26, 1950, by the Rev. Steging at Zion Lutheran Church in Pierce. Together they farmed west of Pierce, until they retired in 1988 and moved to Pierce. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Pierce. Surviving are his wife, Winell; one daughter, Marlene (Chuck) Moritz of Sutton; two sons, Douglas (Vickie Prince) Suckstorf and Gary (Sandy) Suckstorf, both of Pierce; seven grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Martin Suckstorf and one sister, Christina Suckstorf.
