Bio

Mary Florence Gatlin, 102, of Gatesville, Texas, passed away on Monday, Oct. 2, at a local care center. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 7, at Scott's Funeral Home with burial to follow at Osage Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service. Florence was born in Osage, Texas, to the late Baylus Mac and Kate Jane Clemons Griffith. She was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church. Florence and her husband worked for the Gatesville Independent School District for several years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Horace. Survivors include her daughter, Sally Jean Williams; grandchildren, Sharon, Carol, Kathy and William; great-grandchildren, Allison, Joe, Kenly, Kate, Matthew, Chip, Mary, Valerie, Mary Beth, Rebecca and Debbie; sister, Lucille Lynch; and brother, Glenn Griffith.
