Richard E. Sauer Roscoe - Funeral for Richard E. Sauer, 64, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Salem Lutheran Church with the Rev. Herbert Zimmerman, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Roscoe Cemetery, directed by Patterson-McCoy Funeral Home. Mr. Sauer died Thursday in Roland Nursing Home in Loraine. Born April 12, 1906 in Gonzales, he lived in Champion near Roscoe for 60 years. He was a farmer. Surviving are his wife; two sons, the Rev. Robert Sauer of Lae, New Guinea and Richard Sauer of Midland; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Ann Wietstruck of Kenner, La. and Mrs. Edith Joyce Benton of Amarillo; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Henry Sauer of Sweetwater and Fred Sauer of Roscoe; four sisters, Mrs. Helen Frers of Cuero, Mrs. Annie Gabler and Mrs. Frieda Gabler, both of Roscoe and Mrs. Pauline Sjostrom of Sweetwater.
