Bio

Albert Sauer ROSCOE — Albert Henry Sauer, 93, of Roscoe, died at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Roscoe Nursing Home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater. The Rev. William Peterson, retired Lutheran minister from Abilene, and the Rev. Herbert Zimmerman, retired Lutheran minister rom Roscoe, will officiate. Burial will be at Roscoe Cemetery. Born Feb. 18, 1890, in Cheapside, he was a retired farmer. He married Dora Korges in 1915 in Loraine. He had lived in the Roscoe and Champion areas and in Sweetwater for 34 years. He was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church in Sweetwater. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1975, and a son, Hilton in 1924. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Irene Beinhauer of Hermleigh; a son, Le Roy of Roscoe; two sisters, Annie Gabler and Elfrida Gabler, both of Roscoe; a brother, Fred of Loraine; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Rex Mitchell, Jeff Mitchell, Travis Beinhauer, Terry Clark, Wayne Haygood and Burlie Pieser. From The Abilene, Texas Reporter, Sunday, January 15, 1984 *****************
