Fred Sauer Sweetwater - Fred Sauer, 83, of Sweetwater, died at 3:15 a.m. Tuesday at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Salem Lutheran Church in Roscoe. The Rev. Lowell Helstedt, pastor, and the Rev. Herbert Zimmerman, retired pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Roscoe Cemetery, directed by Cate-Spencer Funeral Home in Sweetwater. Born April 24, 1902 in Gonzales, he was a retired farmer and a member of Salem Lutheran Church. He moved to Nolan County in 1906 and was a longtime resident of the Champion and Roscoe area. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth Miles of Sweetwater; two sisters, Annie Gabler and Frieda Gabler, both of Roscoe; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Richard Sauer, Leroy Sauer, Raymond Althof, Ronnie Reedy, Walter Stirl and Donnie Rannefeld. From The Abilene (TX) Reporter , Wednesday, Jul 3, 1985 *****************
