Bio
Olivia M. Knebel, 87, of Cuero, passed away Saturday, Feb. 24, 2008. She was born March 20, 1920, in Runge, to Berthold A. Knocke and Ann W. Lange. She was a housewife. She will always be remembered by her smile, kindness, and her caring for others. She will never be forgotten for the lives she touched. She is survived by her son, Leonard and wife Pam of Cuero; three sisters, Ann Reaves of Victoria, Alverta Cole of Atlanta, Texas, and Sarah Meike of Victoria; one brother, Frank Knocke of Sweet Home; her grandsons, Kenneth, Johnathan and Brandon; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Johnny "Shorty" Knebel; brothers, Elmo and Albert Knocke; and one sister, Becky Polasek. Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 25, 2008 at Freund Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at the Freund Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Steve Byrne to officiate the services. Burial will be at the family plot at Hillside Cemetery in Cuero.
