He was married to Welma Dahse. : Elmo Knocke, age 88, passed away Friday, April 20, 2007. He was born June 14, 1918, in Karnes County, to Berthold A. and Annie Lange Knocke. He was a minister at the First Divine Church. Survivors wife, Welma Dahse Knocke; daughter, Florence "Flossy" Fritz and husband Kasper of Yoakum; sisters, Ann Reaves and Sarah Meinke, both of Victoria, Olivia Knebel of Cuero, and Alverta Cole of Atlanta, Texas; brother, Frank Knocke of Yoakum; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Gwen Judd; sisters, Adella Kaiser and Rebecca Polasek; and brothers, Grover Knocke and Milton Knocke. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Thiele-Cooper Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
