Bio

George Otto Eppy, 46, of W. Paris Ave., life resident of Peoria, died Sunday at St. Francis Hospital. He had been employed by the Planck Laundry. Born March 12, 1907 in Peoria, a son of George and Elizabeth A. (Hoerner) Eppy, he married Alma L. Shaffer, July 7, 1934, in Pekin. Surviving are his wife; four daughters, Roberta, JoAnn, Phyllis and Clara Mae Eppy; his father; four brothers, Phillip, Walter, Frank and William; and two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Wyss and Mrs. Florence Planck, all of Peoria. Funeral services will be Wednesday at the Cumerford-Endsley Memorial Home and burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens. Full obit in the Peoria Journal Star - Tues., Feb. 23, 1954, a.m. edition, p.
