Bio

Philip I. Eppy, 80, 1106 NE Monroe, a retired Fire Department member, died yesterday at his home. He retired as a hoseman at Central Firehouse. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War I. He was born in Peoria on July 4, 1894, a son of George W. and Alice E. Hoerner Eppy. He married Margaret List on March 28, 1925 in Peoria. She died here Dec. 8, 1965. Surviving are one son, Leo E.; one daughter, Mrs. Ruth M. Crane, both of Peoria; and three brothers, Walter and Frank, both of Peoria, and William of Far Hills, Ark. He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. Full obit in the Peoria Journal Star, Wed., Nov. 20, 1974, a.m. edition, page E-6. Obituary located by Mel Slane .
