John Victor Edgar, 89, a long-time resident of Richland, WA, and a U.S. Navy WWII and Korean War veteran, passed away Tuesday, February 9th, 2016. He contributed to the legend of "The Greatest Generation." He was born to Frank Wilbur and Theresa Agnes (Morfeld) Edgar in Potter, Nebraska and lived in the Tri-Cities for 60 years. He served in the United States Navy during WW II and the Korean War, was a Nuclear Instrument Technician and an avid water skier. JV was a Hanford retiree and enjoyed many hobbies including boating, water skiing, fishing, playing chess, and was active at the local VFW in Richland for decades. John is survived by his daughter, Sherry, son Jevin, and his sister, June, in addition to many nephews, nieces, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his longtime and loving companion, Sig. He is dearly loved and will be missed by all of his family and friends. Arrangements by Mueller's Tri-Cities Funeral Home, Kennewick, WA Graveside services were held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, February 17, 2016.
