The Daily News Telegram Sulphur Spring, Texas Thursday, December 6, 1956 Page 1, continued on page 8 Mrs. Patterson Pioneer Citizen Claimed by Death Mrs. Cornelia Frances Patterson, 80, of Pine Forest died at Leberman Hospital in Commerce at 9:45 Wednesday night. A native of Leggett, Polk County, where she was born the daughter of Benjamin and Jane Smith Coker on December 20, 1875. Mrs. Patterson had lived in Hopkins County for 75 years. Her Husband, John W.Patterson preceded her in death. Immediate survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Ida Turney, Hugo, Okla., Mrs. Lula Stearman, Dike,Mrs. Grace Potts, Pine Forest, Mrs. Juanita Potts, Dallas and Mrs. Helen Homes,Garland and three sons, Claude Patterson, Mount Pleasant, Fred Patterson, Lufkin and Kenwood Patterson, Dallas. Also surviving are 31 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren, and three brothers Bud Coker, Sulphur Springs, Henry and Jimmie Coker both of Oklahoma. Funeral services will beheld at the Brashear Church of Christ at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon with J.C.Murphy, minister, officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Elton Stewart, Cecil Dickens, Clarence Gore, Leonary Quarry, Lewis Stewart and Bill George. Tapp Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Frances C. Coker and John W. Patterson were married on August 14, 1889 in Hopkins Co., Texas.
