Duncan Banner, Fri., Sept. 15, 2006 JOYCE SELETA ADAIR CALDWELL, 83, of Duncan, died Wednesday, September 13, 2006, in Duncan. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William Moore officiating. Interment will be in Duncan City Cemetery. Joyce was born June 16, 1923, in Newcastle, Texas, to John and Mary Hayman Adair. She married Hiram A. "Doc" Caldwell on Dec. 4, 1937. He preceded her in death on Dec. 22, 2002. Joyce was a retired beauty operator. She was a very loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was always ready to help anyone. She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God. Survivors include two sons, H.A. "Butch" Caldwell Jr. and his wife Traeda of Duncan, and Randy Caldwell and his wife Marilyn, of Dallas, Texas; three daughters, Inola Ash and husband Dale of Cache, Okla., Mary Jo Barnett of Longview, Texas, and Weda Nix and her husband Russell of Indio, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a grandchild, Sherrie Caldwell; four brothers; and four sisters. Bearers will be her grandsons.
