Earl Thomas Adair of San Bernardino, a long time resident, died April 28, 1985 at the age of 84. He was a carpenter and a Protestant. Survived by wife, Vera Montgomery; four sons, Ansel of San Bernardino, Harvey Gene of Washington, D.C., James of Tenessee and Lee Roy of Barstow; daughters, Wilma Mikel of San Bernardino, Mary Smith, Wanda Gibson and Barbara Chavez, all of Redding; sisters, Alta Hall of Marysville, Lona Brown of Randlett, Oklahoma, Joyce Caldwell of Duncan, Oklahoma and Winnie Puckett of Goosebeck, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Nita Adair of Oklahoma City; 43 grandchildren, many great and great-great-grandchildren. Graveside service Friday, 10 am in Montecito Memorial Park with Mark. B. Shaw Mortuary in charge of the arrangements. information from an obituary published in the SAN BERNARDINO SUN on May 1, 1985 from the online records of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Earl Thomas Adair was born in Burneyville, Oklahoma on February 28, 1901 and married Ura Grant McCasland of Texas on August 17, 1922. She died in 1977. He later married Vera Idel Hawkins Montgomery on June 4, 1978 in San Bernardino County, California, the widow of Henry Thomas Montgomery who died in 1962.
