Hiram Alvin Caldwell, Jr. DUNCAN - Funeral for Hiram A. "Butch" Caldwell Jr., 65, Duncan, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Don Grantham Funeral Home Chapel, Duncan, with the Rev. Wayne Fite and his sons-in-law, Gerald Rice and Paul Doughty, officiating. Mr. Caldwell Jr. died Monday, Oct. 19, 2009, in Duncan. Burial will be at Duncan Cemetery. He was born Feb. 10, 1944, in Perry, to Hiram A. "Doc" Sr. and Joyce S. Adair Caldwell. He attended school in Fletcher and graduated from Cache High School. He married Carolyn Miller in 1962. He married Traeda Fite Epperley on June 1, 1979, at Ardmore. Before retirement, he was employed with Wilcox Welder Repair, with Dr. Robert and Kayte Simpson, and Western Welding. He had attended Immanuel Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Traeda, of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law: Kim and Gerald Rice, Fort Worth, Texas; Stacy and Paul Doughty, Ardmore; and Michelle and Chad Edwards, Plainfield, Ill.; a son, Todd Epperley, Kansas City, Mo.; a brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Marilyn Caldwell, Rowlett, Texas; three sisters and a brother-in-law: Weda and Russell Nix, Indio, Calif.; Inola Ash, Cache; and Mary Jo Barnett, Longview, Texas; his father-in-law and wife, Wayne and Deloris Fite, Ardmore; three grandchildren: Justin and Ethan Doughty and Luke Edwards; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Sherry Caldwell; and his mother-in-law, Jewel Fite. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
