Services for John J. Schumann were held in the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Harrold. Born in Elliott, he passed away in a Wichita Falls hospital. He married Alice C. Schoppa on 23 February 1941 in Harrold. He was a farmer, rancher and a carpenter. He was an appraiser and adjuster for the Farmers Mutual Protective insurance Company. He was a lifetime residence of Wilbarger County. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers - Elvin and Charlies Schumann. Surviving are his wife; three daughters; five brothers; two sisters; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
