Eugene Vincent was born July 19, 1931, on the family farm outside of Elyria to Frank and Julia (Sobon) Augustyn. In his early teens he helped on the family farm when his brothers went to the war. In 1965, they settled in Ord and in 1968, Gene bought the Electrical Company from Don Edwards. Gene continued his electrician career by obtaining a master electrical license. He established and owned Gene’s Electric until his retirement in 1995.
