He married Helen Josephine Potrzeba at Portland, Oregon, on October 30, 1941. _______________________________________ Emanuel J. Augustyn A funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2002, in St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Portland for Emanuel J. Augustyn, who died Nov. 3 at age 85. Recitation of the rosary will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Holman's Funeral Service. Mr. Augustyn was born March 16, 1917, in Ord, Neb. He moved in 1941 to Portland and was a cargo checker for the Pacific Maritime Association. In 1941, he married Helen Potrebba [sic]; she died in 1998. Survivors include his son, Harold; daughter, Jeanette Mushkin; brothers, Carl, Roman, Gene and Syl; sisters, Regina Zulkoski, Marge Mroczek, Rita McCalin and Bernadine Silver; and four grandchildren.
