Regina A. Zulkoski, 88, of Lexington, Nebraska, formerly of Overton, Nebraska, died Friday, September 29, 2017, at Plum Creek Healthcare in Lexington. Regina was born September 13, 1929, in Garfield, Co., Nebraska, to Frank and Julia (Sobon) Augustyn. She attended school in Ord, Nebraska, and graduated with the class of 1948. Following High School, Regina moved to Denver for a year before moving back to Ord where she worked at Absalon Variety Store. Regina was married to Gerald J. Zulkoski on April 14, 1956, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Elyria, Nebraska. Eight children were blessed to this union: Patrick, Gregory, Denise, Kevin, Coleen, Jody, Mark and William. The family lived near Comstock where Gerald farmed. In 1977, they moved to Overton, Nebraska. Regina worked at Westside Care Home now Plum Creek Healthcare Community in Lexington for twenty years as a CNA. She then went on to be a greeter at Walmart for almost twenty years which she absolutely loved. She enjoyed many hobbies which included crocheting, embroidery, canning, baking, gardening, and was an incredible cook. Regina also loved spending time with her family. Regina was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Gerald Zulkoski of Overton, Nebraska; her children, Patrick Zulkoski of Broken Bow, Nebraska, Gregory Zulkoski of Comstock, Nebraska, Kevin (Chrisine) Zulkoski of Overton, Nebraska, Mark (Lisa) Zulkoski of Omaha, Nebraska, William (Tamma) Zulkoski of Kearney, Nebraska, Denise (Michael) O’Neill of Alda, Nebraska, Coleen (Craig) Burgess of Eaton, Colorado and Jodi (Alton) Wenburg of Cozad, Nebraska; one brother, Sylvester (Winifred) Augustyn of Miles City, Montana; three sisters, Bernadine Silver of Ord, Nebraska, Margie Mroczek of Loup City, Nebraska and Rita McCain of California; nineteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren with one on the way. Regina was preceded in death by her parents, seven brothers, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Casper and Anna; daughter-in-law, Angie and great-granddaughter, Raygen. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Lexington with Reverend Matt Koperski, officiating. Interment will be in the Overton Cemetery near Overton. Reynolds-Love Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
