Bio

Thanks to contributor #48796369 Lester Evans, 62, of Litchfield died Friday May 2, 2003 at the Good Samaritan Center in Ravenna. Services were on Monday May 5, 2003 at the Evangelical Free Church in Pleasanton. Rev. Brian Fugleberg will officiate. Burial was in the Litchfield Cemetery in Litchfield. Visitation was on Sunday at the church. Rasmussen mortuary was in charge of arrangements. Lester Evans was born November 28, 1940 in Broken Bow to Wayne and Maude (Loyd) Evans. He was educated in Custer County and graduated from Ansley High School. He served in the U.S Army from 1964-1966. Lester married Elline Senff November 13, 1966 at Litchfield. They made their home in Broken Bow where Lester worked in construction and farming. They moved to Litchfield in 1976. Lester enjoyed hunting, fishing and other sports. He was a member of the Evangelical Free Church in Pleasanton and the Litchfield fire and rescue department. Survivors include his wife, of Litchfield; two daughters, Paula Evans of Seattle, WA and Carrie Clark of Arlington TX; two sons, Paul of Omaha and Mark of Hastings; four brothers, Calvin of Ansley, Bernard (Dean) of Columbus; Ronald of Kearney; and Roger of Kearney; four sisters, Georgia Fread of Pleasanton, Carol Ditson of Kearney, Karen Hostetler of Cairo and Phyllis Zadina of Kenesaw, and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and three brothers.
