Married Nov 4 1901 Madison Co, NE ----------------------------------------- Emma Long Buried Here Tuesday Funeral services for Emma Long, 97, were held Tuesday afternoon at the Ord United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ron Roemmich officiating. Mrs. Long died June 18 at the Valley County Hospital. She had been in ill health for some time. Burial was in the Ord City Cemetery with the Ord Memorial Chapel in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Long was the daughter of Joseph and Maria Dobrovsky Psota and was born May 4, 1875 in Czechoslovakia. At the age of four, she came with her parents to Madison County, Nebraska. Her early life was spent in Madison County and she was united in marriage to John Long on Nov. 4, 1901 at Madison. She and her husband came to Valley County in 1925 and they settled on a farm east of Ord. Mrs. Long enjoyed gardening. She is survived by her three sons, Robert Long, John Long and Rudolph Long all of Ord; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Oltmer of Leigh, Mrs. Anna Studnicka of Ord, Mrs. Gertrude Zabloudil of Ericson and Mrs. Adeline Pape of Doniphan; one brother Anton Psota, North Loup and 12 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one infant son, four brothers and four sisters.
