Robert C. Long Dies Unexpectedly Robert C. Long, 69, died Oct. 18, 1973 at Valley county Hospital. He entered the hospital only a short time before his unexpected death. Mr. Long was born Aug. 31, 1904 in Stanton County, the son of John and Emma Psota Long. His early life was spent in the Stanton community and on June 10, 1925 he was united in marriage to Rose Novotny at Stanton. After marriage they moved to Valley county and lived on a farm near Ord where he was engaged in farming and cattle raising. He was a member of BPO Elks Lodge #2371. Survivors are his wife Rose of Ord; one daughter Mrs. Darlene Christie, Lincoln; two brothers Rudolph and John both of Ord; four sisters Mrs. Mary Oltmer, Madison, Mrs. Anna Studnicka, Ord, Mrs. Gertrude Zabloudil, Ericson, and Mrs. Adeline Pape, Doniphan. Preceding him in death were his parents and one infant brother. Funeral services were held at 2 pm Monday at the United Methodist Church of Ord with burial in the Ord Cemetery.
